National Weather Service issues winter storm watch for CSRA

The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a winter storm watch for the Aiken area from 7 p.m. on Tuesday through 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Dangerous ice accumulations of one-quarter to three-quarters of an inch are possible. A changeover from rain to freezing rain is expected to occur at some point late Tuesday night or Wednesday. Precipitation will end on Thursday.

According to The Weather Channel, the chance of precipitation will be 100 percent on both Tuesday and Wednesday. The chance will fall to 30% on Thursday.

The high on Tuesday will be 38 degrees, and the overnight low will be 28 degrees. The high on Wednesday will be 32 degrees, and the low will be 29 degrees overnight. The high on Thursday will be 42 degrees.
