Savannah River Nuclear Solutions managed the competition. Dorman High School of Spartanburg finished second. The Governor’s School for Science and Math in Hartsville took third.

Team member Will Hardy is from Graniteville.

A total of 20 teams participated in the Science Bowl, among them North Augusta High School, Midland Valley High School and South Aiken High School.

During an informal “brainteasers” activity, South Aiken placed third in the chemistry brainteaser, sponsored by SRNS and the American Chemical Society.
