Rescue crews continued to search Langley Pond today for a man that may have drowned Wednesday, but halted efforts around 5 p.m. due to the weather.

In addition, the Burnettown Police Department is also looking for Byron Alexander Coleman of Graniteville, who Chief David Paul Smith said may be missing. Coleman reportedly matches the description of the man who "went under" at Langley Pond Wednesday.

Coleman has not been in contact with his family, Smith said.

Smith said he is not making a direct connection between Coleman and the man who may have drowned, only that authorities are investigating both leads.

An emergency call was received at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday that three swimmers – two men and a woman – were in distress at Langley Pond. One of the male swimmers was pulled from the water and transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The female swimmer reportedly followed him to the hospital.

The second male swimmer still has not been located. The three had been swimming in a no-swim area of Langley Pond.
