PROSPERITY – Lorenzo “Sox” Fallaw, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 23, at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Dr. David Fallaw, Chris Swygert, Billy Harmon, Bubby Brunson, Todd Brunson, and Craig Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Roe, Joe Brunson, Ed Brunson, and Harold Domick. Mr. Fallaw was born in Batesburg, SC, son of the late Moses and Jessie Jones Fallaw. He was a member of the Midland Valley Country Club, S.C. Crappie Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He played baseball for Spartanburg Methodist Junior College and graduated from Newberry College. He received his Master of Education in administration from Western Carolina. He was a school teacher and a coach. Mr. Fallaw was a Navy Veteran. His greatest love was his children and his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Kay Riser Fallaw; daughters and son-in-law, Dr. Angela Fallaw (Dr. James) Zaremba of Aiken; Lisa Fallaw of Aiken; grandchildren, Brittany Zaremba; Daniel Zaremba; brother, Wyman Fallaw of Batesburg; and sister, Peggy Swygert of Batesburg. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Fallaw. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 22, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Milton Shealy Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
