Welcome students and teachers to our Scholastic Book Fair!
This is the place to be when you want to read. Come along and dive into these books. Once you start you will not want to stop.
Last week on Oct. 7th through Oct. 11th, there was a book fair at Hammond Hill Elementary. It was not just any type of book fair, but the Scholastic Book Fair. Oh!
There were many varieties of books. There were also smaller items like erasers, pens, bookmarks, and posters. It was just like an all you can read buffet with a side dish of fun. Fiction, non-fiction, and biography books were there. The covers of the books had many different colors and titles. The book topics ranged from sad, exciting, happy, angry to many different other categories.
Some of the books I saw were: I Funny, Gabby Lost and Found and a lot of Diary of a Wimpy Kid series books. There were books for any grade level. Our library teacher, Mrs. Criss, gave the students a tour around the book fair.
Last, we had a postcard drawing and a guessing game. We had to guess how many pages were in two display books altogether. There were 400 pages.
Are you still diving into that book? I bet you are. I told you once you start you will not want to stop.
