CREEK SPEAKS: Agriculture day

  • Thursday, November 7, 2013

Second grade has been very busy making learning fun. This is our story of Agriculture Day. On Agriculture Day all second grade students got to make tie-dye T-shirts. We also got to go ride on a simulator which was like a real tractor. We learned a lot about soybeans and made a “beanie baby” necklace out of a soybean that we can watch sprout.

We learned about cotton and were able to feel real cotton. Our other activity was learning about and making a model of the life cycle of a pumpkin. That was a really fun Thursday in second grade. I loved it. It took the whole day.
