Fox Creek girls give back

Submitted Photo Kali Turner and Hannah Bass help raise funds for The Salvation Army.

On Dec. 21 many of the Miss Fox Creek hopefuls showed up at Walmart and Kmart to help ring the bells of Christmas. The young ladies, of various grades at Fox Creek High School, were helping the Salvation Army volunteers stationed outside of these two local stores. This is the first time the young ladies have been encouraged to give back to the community in preparation for the pageant, which will be held on Feb. 22 at the Kroc Center in Augusta. The PTCA hosts the annual event, and the teacher sponsor for the pageant is Donna Leopard.

“The girls will also be working at the Masters Table next month,” Leopard said. “The goal is to encourage the young ladies to play an active role in improving our community.”
