The Aiken County School District will make up the recent snow day closure on Monday, Feb. 17, on Presidents Day.
A South Carolina state law requires that all missed school days because of weather or other disruptions, must be made up.
However, adult education classes and other after-school activities will be held with their regular schedules.
The state regulation requires school districts to schedule three severe-weather make-up days. If the district does not need one of those days, that day becomes a student holiday.
If a district needs more than three severe weather days, district officials and superintendents often confer to make recommendations.
The calendar is approved by the Board of Education during the first semester of the previous school year and is located on the district website.
Aiken County snow make-up day is Feb. 17
