The GreenJackets organization has unveiled its 2014 promotional schedule, giving the CSRA a first glimpse into what the Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants will be bringing to the Lake Olmstead Stadium this season.
“With our dedication to affordable family fun, we're excited to showcase one of the best promotional line-ups the CSRA has ever seen. From the introduction of our all new free Junior Jackets Club to appearances from legends like WWE's Sgt. Slaughter, we invite you come catch the buzz,” said General Manager Tom Denlinger.
The GreenJackets will offer seven post-game fireworks displays throughout the season. The first show will be on April 25. The following shows will be May 16, June 21, July 4 (special patriotic display), July 5, Aug. 8; and Aug. 30.
Celebrities and entertainers will be making their way through the stadium with appearances from the Inflatamaniacs, April 4; Plex of NickJr.'s “Yo Gabba Gabba,” presented by Tum-e Yummies, June 8; Mascot Invasion Night, with University of Georgia's Hairy Dawg, Georgia Tech University's Buzz and Georgia Southern University's Gus, June 20; post-game wrestling match with the Midget World Entertainment, July 17; WWE Legend Sgt. Slaughter, Aug. 9; and NASCAR's Ricky Stenthouse Jr.'s Fifth Third Bank car appearance, Aug. 20 and 21. Stenthouse Jr. will not be in attendance.
Meet the Jackets Night, April 5; Faith and Family Night, May 16; Bark in the Park Day (bring your dog to a GreenJackets game,) May 18; Shepeard Community Blood Center Night, June 6; Super Splash Day, June 25; Military Appreciation Night, July 26; and Fan Appreciation Day, Sept. 1. round out the 2014 promotional schedule.
All day-of-the-week promotions will return for 2014, including “Feed your Face” every Monday (all-you-can-eat select menu items) and two for one beverages on Tuesdays (all beverages are buy-one-get-one-free).
Wednesdays feature Baseball Bingo, thanks to Bi-Lo. Thursdays (with exception of opening night, April 3) are Thirsty Thursdays with $1 draft beers, thanks to Country Club Dance Hall and Saloon.
Saturdays are Family Fun Nights presented by American Family Insurance. Finally, the Sunday games are Junior Jacket Sundays with a pre-game catch on the field and post-game Kids Run the Bases for all members of the free Junior Jackets Club.
2014 marks the 26th consecutive season of professional baseball in Augusta.
