Golden Glow hold installation of officers

Submitted Photo Golden Glow No. 76 Order of the Eastern Star installed its new officers last month.

On March 15, Golden Glow No. 76 Order of the Eastern Star held its installation of officers for the new year of 2014-2015 at Acacia Masonic Lodge in North Augusta. Judy Justice, worthy matron and district deputy of the 9th District, was the installing officer who performed the ceremony.

Other installing officers included Mary Mayson, PM, installing marshal; Arlene Hallman, PM, installing secretary; Emily Roddy, PM, installing conductress; Angela Livingston, WM, installing organist; and Donna Owens, PM, installing chaplain.

This will be a special year for the new worthy matron, Danette “Dani” McGee, as the worthy patron will be her father William “Bill” Schneider.

The American and Christian flags were presented by the nephews of the worthy matron, Preston Agee and Billy Agee, and the Holy Bible was presented by the worthy matron’s husband, Michael McGee. Special music was performed by Debbie-Joy Agee, sister of the worthy matron, who was accompanied by Billy Agee on guitar performing “Revelation Song.”

Other officers installed were Laura Buchanan, associate matron; Richard Bryden, PGP, associate patron; Kay Bryden, PGM, secretary; Laura Hagler, treasurer; Debbie Pyron, conductress; Tobby Hagler, PP, chaplain; Carol Joy, marshal; Connie Sawyer, PM, Ada; Jan Burriss, PM, Ruth; Debbie-Joy Agee, Martha; Joy Schneider, PM (chapter mother), Electa; Anne Mayer, warder; and Carey Burriss, PP, sentinel.

McGee and Schneider are excited for the new year as they endeavor on their journey of community service and brotherly and sisterly love.
