Lexington One’s teacher of year is North Augusta native

Albert Robertson, a North Augusta native, was chosen as the District teacher of the year at Lexington County District One’s annual banquet on April 10.

He attended North Augusta Elementary School and North Augusta Middle School before graduating from North Augusta High School in 2002.

On the Lexington School District’s website, Robertson and other school-based teachers of the year were recognized for their dedication and commitment to educating students.

He teaches sixth-grade social studies at Meadow Glen Middle School.

The website cited Robertson as follows: “A true collaborator who always looks for ways to improve learning for all of his students, Robertson’s innovative lessons inspire students to become passionate about their ever-changing world and to make real-life connections as they delve into history.”
