The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred in Beech Island on July 17.
Alex James Pitts, 21, is was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The incident happened on the 100 block of Cherry Lane where the victim, 35-year-old Ronald Mixon, resides.
Mixon was shot in the groin, and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a press release.
The shooting was a result of an “ongoing feud” between the two men, according to deputies.
