The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the report of an armed robbery and assault that took place at a home on Tulane Drive in Aiken.
A 29-year-old Aiken man said on Saturday that four male subjects, including the residence’s owner, were involved in the incident and took $500 from him. The victim said the subjects were armed with a pistol, a sawed-off shotgun, a baseball bat and a crowbar.
The victim described the subjects as makers and sellers of methamphetamine, but said he did not go there to buy drugs. The victim said there were stolen guns in the residence.
According to the responding officer, there was a laceration on the victim’s forehead, which the victim said was the result of one of the subjects hitting him with a crowbar.
The victim said he fled the home and went to the Aiken County EMS station on Citadel Drive. He was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Centers for treatment.
