A total of 10 people were arrested and more than 30 citations were issued as law enforcement saturated several neighborhoods on Thursday, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by South Carolina Highway Patrol, State Law Enforcement Division and South Carolina Probation, parole and Pardon Services to conduct this operation, according to a press release. The operation included traffic safety check points and a search for people who had warrants in neighborhoods in both Beech Island and Clearwater.
“Each participating agency possesses unique skills that are necessary for this type of enforcement, and this is another example of law enforcement working together in the community,” Sheriff Michael Hunt stated in the press release.
The arrests made were the results of drug, probation, weapons and traffic violations as well as outstanding warrants.
