The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man involved in an armed robbery that occurred Sunday afternoon at a Family Dollar.

According to Sheriff’s Office Capt. Eric Abdullah, deputies got a call at about 2:55 p.m. about the incident that happened at the Family Dollar store on Kerr Street in Belvedere.

A black male described as wearing a camouflage jacket or shirt, dark jeans, a camouflage hat and Polo boots walked into the store, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. He then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash, Abdullah said.

It was later determined the man got into a vehicle. No description of that vehicle is available at this time.

Anyone with information related to the robbery or the identity of the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372).
