A nonprofit aimed to increase awareness about ovarian cancer will hold a Letís Talk Teal breakfast at the end of the month.
Gailís Anatomy and Aiken Regionalís WE Woman Englightened for Better Health will host the breakfast on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 a.m. at Newberry Hall, located at 117 Newberry St.
Dr. Oletha Minto will be the guest speaker, and she will talk about the importance of taking responsibility for oneís own health.
Reservations are required; to reserve a seat, call the Direct Doctors Plus line at 800-882-7445.
Following the breakfast, the public is invited to walk over to the Newberry Street fountain and turn it teal as Mayor Fred Cavanaugh presents a proclamation naming September as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
