According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 48-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct on Friday after he was found passed out on a bench on Laurens Street. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication.
A 51-year-old North Augusta woman was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after she tried to take two pairs of shoes from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
A 57-year-old Augusta man was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after he tried to take a pair of jeans from a store in Aiken Mall without paying.
A 38-year-old Aiken man allegedly shoplifted a bottle of cologne from a store on Richland Avenue on Thursday.
A 55-year-old Aiken man reported vandalism on Thursday after someone scratched his vehicle while it was parked on Limerick Drive.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 54-year-old North Augusta man was detained for disorderly conduct on Thursday after he was found stumbling in the roadway on Cherokee Drive. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication.
An Aiken woman reported identity theft on Thursday after someone tried to open a credit card account in her name.
A 55-year-old Warrenville woman reported an electronic tablet stolen from her home on Edgar Street on Thursday.
A lawn mower, a weed eater and gas cans were reported stolen from a home on Shannon Lane in Aiken on Thursday.
Burglaries were reported on Two Oaks Road in Beech Island, Riverbend Drive in Beech Island, Williston Road in Aiken, Edgefield Road in North Augusta and Watsonia Drive in Aiken.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Jackson Avenue in Aiken on Thursday. The owner reported a purse missing.
