ē Marshall Chastain, a member of The Aiken Golf Club, scored his first hole-in-one on Aug. 4. Chastain got his ace on the fourth hole, using a 9-iron from 128 yards. Witnesses were Everett Kaufman and Terry Montgomery. It was the second hole-in-one by a club member in as many days, as Chastain followed Bo Kistlerís ace on Aug. 3. Kistler scored a hole-in-one on No. 11, using a 5-wood from 200 yards. Witnesses were member Mark Austin and guest Luke Reid.
ē Jake Carter, who recently committed to play golf at Florida State, won the club championship at Palmetto Golf Club with a score of 70-71-141. His 1-under par score was enough to edge USC Aiken golf coach Michael Carlisle for the championship.
