Brad Brodie, the general contractor for Richland Self Storage, said the company is ramping itself up to be the premier place for self storage in the area.

Richland Self Storage opened its doors on Aug. 1 and is located at 3809 Richland Avenue – an area Brodie believes is a quality, central location for customers.

“The facility has several access points – two from Richland Avenue and one at the rear access road,” Brodie wrote in a recent press release. “Trucks and large trailers have easy entry and maneuverability once inside.”

According to the press release, the facility has more than 500 units of different sizes, and more than half of them are climate controlled.

In addition, the facility has been designed to incorporate the latest state-of-the-art features including digital video monitoring, computerized security, lighted units and background music.

The facility also allows access 24/7 through the use of automatic gates with electronic keypads.

“Richland Self Storage is by far the most advanced facility of its kind in the area,” Brodie added. “Every aspect of the design paid particular attention to the comfort, convenience and safety of customers.”

Brodie and Marketing Specialist Pete Palmere said they believe storage facilities are needed in the area due to data they've recently collected. According to their numbers, the industry has grown by 45 percent since 2007.

Palmere added that target customers include individuals who have short- and long-term storage needs, businesses who either need off-site archival storage or more room for inventory and professional entities, such as pharmaceutical companies.

“We will deliver tremendous value in order to build the client base and establish a high level of customer satisfaction,” Palmere added.

Office hours for Richland Self Storage are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
