ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The Augusta GreenJackets (57-66) fell hard on Friday, taking a 10-2 road loss against the Asheville Tourists (79-45).
Starter Christian Jones (5-8) lasted just 4? innings for Augusta, surrendering seven runs – six earned – on seven hits and two walks. Johendi Jiminian (12-5) tossed six innings of one-run baseball for the Tourists, scattering six hits and a walk.
Correlle Prime did a bulk of the damage for Asheville, launching a pair of home runs that included a grand slam and resulted in six RBIs.
