ANDERSON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is scheduled to speak at a fundraising barbecue for South Carolina Republicans.
Earlier this summer, U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan announced that the Florida Republican would be the keynote speaker at his fourth annual “Faith and Freedom BBQ” fundraiser in Anderson on Monday.
Rubio says he has not decided whether to seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. Last year, another potential GOP presidential hopeful, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, spoke at Duncan’s fundraiser.
Other previous speakers have included Sens. Jim DeMint and Tim Scott and former state Republican Party Chairman Chad Connelly.
Gov. Nikki Haley is also expected to appear at Monday’s event.
