A pregnant woman is pursuing charges against her son, who allegedly shoved her into a wall during an argument over ice cream, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Hampton Avenue, according to an incident report. The 34-year-old victim said her 17-year-old son removed a container of ice cream from the freezer that belonged to her husband, and the two men began to argue, police said.

The victim said she stepped in between the two men and her son shoved her into a wall, police said. The report stated she is eight and a half months pregnant. The suspect began making threats against the victim and her husband, and again shoved the victim into the wall in an attempt to reach her husband, according to reports.

The victim wished to pursue charges against the suspect; however, her husband declined.
