The Penland Administration Building on the USC Aiken campus suffered no damage on Saturday afternoon after a generator outside the building caught fire and burned.
Firefighters from City of Aiken Public Safety responded and extinguished the fire, Vice Chancellor Dr. Deidre Martin said via email.
“Power has been restored to the building,” she said. “USCA staff were on campus to ensure the safety of our people and buildings throughout the situation.”
