Ridge Spring police arrested two of three suspects in connection with a drug case that was under investigation for several months.
Leo Abney and Montez Quattlebaum were arrested Thursday and charged with distribution of crack cocaine and distributing crack cocaine within proximity of a school.
Police have issued a warrant for Bradley Preston, the third suspect in the case, according to a press release.
The Saluda County Sheriff’s Office and the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division assisted Ridge Spring police in the investigation. Ridge Spring Police Chief Jarrod Goldman stated in the release that a lot of planning and coordination made the arrests possible.
“The assistance that we received from the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division and Saluda County Sheriff’s Department investigators were paramount in bringing this investigation to a successful close,” Goldman said. “I believe this is a step in the right direction to deter drugs and drug abuse in and through our town and will provide a safer environment for both the residents and guests of Ridge Spring.”
