The 32nd annual North Augusta Christmas Tour of Homes sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will be celebrated Dec. 6 and 7. The tour begins with a candlelight tour on Friday evening from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m. and continues Saturday with tour homes open from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Located at 616 Front Street in Hammond’s Ferry is the beautiful home of Zane and Argentina Christopher. This all-brick two-story home has on both levels front porches overlooking the Savannah River. The first story consists of a great room with fireplace, formal dining room with wine area, kitchen and breakfast area, powder room and laundry room. The daughter’s bedroom and bath and the master bedroom and bath were also designed for the first story. The guest bedroom and both his and her offices were crafted for the second story. A favorite area for family and friends is the upstairs large entertainment/game room with bar, high-top tables and chairs, pool table, and large pit group for watching sporting events. An avid Gamecock fan, Zane has decorated this room with his many pictures and other memorabilia. Off the kitchen is an outdoor heated area with a stainless steel kamado joe charcoal grill, fireplace, television and sound system. Above the stained pine garage is a gym with large mirrors and rubber floor along with a bedroom for the son.
Along with the home in Hammond’s Ferry, the home of Peter and Dana Lands on West Arlington Heights will be showcased. The tour will also feature the homes of Joshua and Brittany Napier in The Rapids, Jimmy and Evangeline Drew in Savannah Barony, Barry and Kim Hardy in Woodstone, and Donald and Robyn Hughes in Pecan Grove. In addition to the six homes, Tour of Homes guests are invited to peruse the Arts and Heritage Center’s Galleries and Gift Shop while enjoying refreshments and holiday music.
A brunch and fashion show will be held in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist of North Augusta at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Fashions for ladies will be provided by Chico’s of Augusta Mall, and children’s fashions, modeled by children from local elementary schools, will be from Posh Tots in Surrey Center.
