TrueNorth Church saw the culmination of a year-long organizing effort Sunday morning in SRP Park, holding its Easter worship service in SRP Park, largely known as the new home of the Augusta GreenJackets. Organizers estimated the crowd as between 6,000 and 7,000, with all of the fixed seating occupied and much of the infield being covered with portable chairs. The service’s message came via a mixture of personal testimonies, Bible teaching and music, and the gathering concluded with kids being invited into the outfield to dash (or walk, as able) for 8,000 Easter eggs.
