The North Augusta Earth Day Celebration will be held this Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Brick Pond Park. Vendors for this year’s event include the Sierra Club, Ruth Patrick Science Center, Aiken Camellia Society, Savannah Riverkeeper, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Army Corps of Engineers, South Carolina National Guard, Smart Power, city of North Augusta Storm Water Division, Property Maintenance Division, and Planning and Development Department.
The city of North Augusta will sponsor the first Riverside Village block party this Saturday, April 27 from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Come experience the new restaurants and businesses of Riverside Village, grab a drink, and enjoy live music in the street with the Palmetto Groove Band. Saturday will be the grand opening of the Rio Cantina restaurant in Riverside Village.
Riverview Park will be hosting the Top Gun travel baseball tournament this Saturday and Sunday in the park while the North Augusta High School Lady Jacket Softball team is also home in the South Carolina High School League Playoffs. The Riverview Park Activities Center will be hosting the 2019 Southern Exposure Showcase Travel Basketball tournament this weekend.
