The 35th annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee takes over downtown North Augusta beginning this Friday morning as we prepare for approximately 20,000 people to visit. The fall celebration festival has become the largest single event for the city of North Augusta. We are looking forward to sharing the best of North Augusta with our residents and all the visitors who will make their way to our city.

Friday morning, Oct. 25, Georgia Avenue will close at 9 a.m. from Clifton Avenue right up to the entrance to Carpenter’s Auto store. This closure will allow us to set up the main stage, fair rides and our two-day food vendors. If you are coming down Georgia Avenue on Friday until 6 p.m., you will be forced to turn right or left at Spring Grove Avenue. At 6 p.m. on Friday, North Augusta Public Safety will close the downtown section of Georgia Avenue all the way up to Jackson Avenue. At this point, all traffic coming down Georgia Avenue will turn right on Jackson Avenue. The best route for traffic on Friday and Saturday during the festival will be West Avenue.

If you are coming across the bridge from Augusta you may turn right on Clifton to get to Buena Vista Avenue or left on Clifton to get to West Avenue. Georgia Avenue will reopen around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The Jubilee gets underway at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening, and as we start the festival we will also begin to close the remainder of Georgia Avenue up to Jackson Avenue. The festival runs from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday night. The festival reopens at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning and runs to 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Parking areas for the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee will include the First Baptist Church parking lots, North Augusta Community Center parking lot and the parking deck located next to the Municipal Center. There are additional parking spaces available right off of West Avenue. Traffic and parking with the road closures will obviously create some inconvenience during the festival. The North Augusta Department of Public Safety will be in force as we do our best to make sure everyone is safe.
