Hardy home Christmas tour of homes

The home of Barry and Kim Hardy in Woodstone will be a stop on the North Augusta Christmas Tour of Homes.

The 32nd annual North Augusta Christmas Tour of Homes sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will be celebrated Dec. 6 and 7. The tour begins with a candlelight tour on Friday evening from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m. and continues Saturday with tour homes open from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Located in Woodstone is the home of Barry and Kim Hardy. When Barry and Kim were married, they were thrilled to make North Augusta their home. Forrest McKie & Company built their first home, which featured an open floor plan that they quickly fell in love with. Upon inviting Kim’s mother to live with them, the couple knew more space would be needed. Thus, in 2018, Barry and Kim built a new home with the same open floor plan which includes a great room, dining room, 4 bedrooms, 4½ baths, kitchen and sitting area, and a special mother-in-law suite. The home features a custom designed fireplace in the great room and custom window treatments throughout the home. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining family and friends. Living in Woodstone provides proximity to the Greeneway, which the family enjoys on pleasant evenings. Christmas is a special time for the Hardy family who loves decorating for the season. Among the Christmas trees is a special musical tree, which was brought by Kim’s mother from her former home. As you tour this beautiful home, you will enjoy the holiday cheer.

Along with the home in Woodstone, the home of Peter and Dana Lands on West Arlington Heights will be showcased. The tour will also feature the homes of Zane and Argentina Christopher in Hammond’s Ferry, Joshua and Brittany Napier in The Rapids, Jimmy and Evangeline Drew in Savannah Barony, and Donald and Robyn Hughes in Pecan Grove. In addition to the six homes, Tour of Homes guests are invited to peruse the Arts and Heritage Center’s Galleries and Gift Shop while enjoying refreshments and holiday music.

A brunch and fashion show will be held in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist of North Augusta at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Fashions for ladies will be provided by Chico’s of Augusta Mall, and children’s fashions, modeled by children from local elementary schools, will be from Posh Tots in Surrey Center.

Tour tickets may be purchased in advance for $20 beginning Nov. 1 and ending at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the following locations: Jim Bush Flowers and Gifts, CommuniGraphics, Parks Pharmacy, and Arts and Heritage Center in North Augusta; Consign Design in Augusta; and Plum Pudding in Aiken. During tour hours tickets may be purchased for $25 at any of the tour stops. All persons touring, including children in arms, must have a ticket. Brunch tickets, which must be purchased in advance, are $10 and may be purchased at the same six locations as tour tickets until 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.
