The lineup for the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee has changed from the initial announcement; Smash Mouth will no longer play, but two additional bands have been announced.

The 25th annual Jubilee will have Friday performances by Mark Chesnutt and Thompson Square, and Saturday performances by Spin Doctors and Whiskey Run.

The 2019 lineup just adds more widely known artists to the list – they join Gin Blossoms, 38 Special, Loverboy, Charlie Daniels Band and more who have visited North Augusta and played to thousands lined up along Georgia Avenue.

Chesnutt is returning to North Augusta for his second year. During the 2018 Jubilee, rain mired the Jubilee, preventing Chesnutt and Diamond Rio from playing the stage Friday night.

There are no reserved spaces for the concerts, and chairs are allowed on the grass but not in the streets.

Thompson Square will play at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, with Chesnutt following at 8:30 p.m. Whiskey Run, an Augusta, Georgia-based cover band, will go on at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and Spin Doctors will follow at 8:30 p.m.

There will be three stages at the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee this year. Along with the main stage, there will be a second stage at Your Pie with local talent.

Meyer said that stage will include local acts like dance groups, kids Jazzercise, costume contests and other local artists.

First Baptist Church will also have a stage for local acts.

Music isn't the only draw to the festival. It also features a variety of food vendors, rides and displays from local vendors.

A two-day, all-you-can-ride wristband is $15. A one-day band for either Friday or Saturday is $10. Single-ride tickets will be $3.

There will be over 150 vendors – people selling crafts and merchandise, along with information booths. There will also be around 25 food vendors selling fair food, noodles, kettle corn, funnel cakes, fried Oreos and more.

First Baptist Church will also be hosting carnival games in their courtyard this year, Meyer said.

"It's just a great day in the community for people to celebrate the fall season," Meyer said, adding that "hopefully the weather will cooperate and we'll have fall, we'll have sunshine and not rain."

The 2019 Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee will be held Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26 in downtown North Augusta.
