Chick-fil-A hosting events to celebrate 10 years of service

One of North Augusta's busiest drive-thrus will be vacant for the next month as Chick-fil-A closes for extensive renovations.

According to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, Chick-fil-A will be closed after Friday, Sept. 20 for a remodel that will include a larger kitchen, second drive-thru, additional parking and a completely new interior.

"North Augusta has been such an amazing community in which to live and operate a business," the post says. "We have watched toddlers grow up and head off to college (even one of our own) and seen many parents graduate to grandparents. We have watched this great city grow and we have welcomed more and more guests through our doors. Because of your support, we have outgrown our ability to serve you in a consistently amazing way," the post says.

Chick-fil-A is located on Knox Avenue in North Augusta and is the only location in the city.

The post states there will be a grand reopening in November and is signed by Jon and Rachel Dawkins.
