The regular season ended on an extremely upbeat note for North Augusta High School Friday, as the Yellow Jackets demolished Aiken on the road by a score of 49-0, largely on the strength of a 36-point performance in the second quarter.

North Augusta, finishing with an overall record of 5-5 and a Region 5-AAAA tally of 3-2, is the region's third seed and is now to play host to North Myrtle Beach. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Friday.

North Myrtle Beach (5-4 overall and 1-4 in Region 6-AAAA), won a tiebreaker for the fourth-seed spot in its region and most recently played host to top-ranked Myrtle Beach, losing at home 35-14 Friday evening.

The Chiefs started their season with five straight wins, by an average score of 27-4, and finished with four consecutive losses, by an average score of 28-13.

The Yellow Jackets, versus Aiken, were up 7-0 after 25 seconds. Following the second-quarter barrage, the Jackets' reserves came on board and racked up playing time.
