The 13th annual interfaith celebration People of World Faiths Embracing Justice in Augusta will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 605 Reynolds St., Augusta. An Interfaith Tour of Aiken will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, as part of Aiken's Interfaith Harmony Month celebration. During the tour, various places of worship will be open to the public to ask questions and learn about different faiths. Women of faith are invited to participate in a prayer luncheon on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 313 Simpkins Street in Edgefield. The event, titled "If You Love Me, Feed My Sheep," provides attendees with an opportunity to support local food banks and features music, messages, blessings, prayer, soup and fellowship. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items as well as make an offering donation that will be given directly to local food banks. Seating is limited so please register early. A group of local Public Safety Personnel has started an AA group for active and retired law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel.
