A new restaurant is planning to open in North Augusta in the near future, adding more options for people headed to Riverside Village.
Rio Cantina, a taqueria, will be located next to SRP Park.
"It's more diversified dining options and … as we build the restaurants, it increases Riverside Village becoming a destination and we really wanted it to be," said City Administrator Todd Glover.
"People may not know where they want to eat, they may just come here because they know they have so many options," he said.
Along with Rio Cantina, options at Riverside Village include Salt + Marrow Kitchen at Crowne Plaza and Southbound Smokehouse.
