North Augusta Public Safety will be holding a Fire Station 1 Relocation Open House on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The meeting will be drop-in style from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The event will be at Public Safety Fire Station 3, located at 692 Belvedere-Clearwater Road in North Augusta.

North Augusta Parks, Recreation and Tourism and Aiken Regional Medical Centers will be holding a senior wellness brunch on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. for people ages 50 and up. The speaker will be Gregory Eaves, MD, FACC, board-certified interventional cardiologist for the Carolina Heart and Vascular System. The Beech Island Historical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the society's History and Visitors Center located at 144 Old Jackson Highway in Beech Island, SC. History Consultant George McDaniel and Kenny Jarrett, owner of Jarrett Rifles and Cowden Plantation in Jackson, SC, will discuss the history of Cowden Plantation. The public is invited to attend. The Belvedere Fire District Commission will hold a regularly scheduled meeting Thursday, Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Belvedere Fire Department located at 204 Hampton Avenue. The meeting is open to the public.

The Arts and Heritage Center will be holding the opening reception for “The Streets of North Augusta” on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the center, located at 100 Georgia Ave. Learn about the original layout of the streets of the city and the origin of the street names.

The Aiken Barnwell Mental Health Center Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:15 p.m. at the Aiken Barnwell Mental Health Center located at 1135 Gregg Hwy. Aiken, SC. This meeting will include: general center business. This meeting is open to the public.

On Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. the North Augusta Democratic Club will hold its 5th annual Black History program at Hammond Grove Baptist Church. This year's guest speaker will be noted historian Mr. Wayne O'Bryant. Several presidential candidates are expected to attend. This event is free and open to the public. The church is located at 214 West Five Notch Road in North Augusta. 

The Aiken County Republican Party meets the second Thursday of each month at the Aiken County Historical Museum-Banksia, 433 Newberry Street, SW in Aiken. A social begins at 6:30 p.m. while the Party Executive Committee conducts a business meeting separately. At 7 p.m. the Monthly Party meeting is held including formal speakers. Parents of Addicted Loved Ones will meet Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 1002 Carolina Avenue, in North Augusta.
