North Augusta’s 2019 Music in the Park series will be held at 7 p.m. Thursdays through July 18 in Maude Edenfield Park, 495 Brookside Ave., North Augusta. The Mike Frost Band will perform jazz, pop, rhythm and blues on May 30. There is no concert on July 4. The concerts are free and last around an hour.

Hammond's Ferry will host "Porch Walk for Paws" on Saturday, June 1. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests will be invited to visit 10 themed porches on Crystal Lake Drive for a beverage and appetizer. At 8 p.m. the evening will transition to a party in the garden with food from neighborhood restaurants; live music by Tom Reed and Jaycie and Taylor; and dancing. Tickets will be $35 per person and are sold online on EventBrite. The event is in conjunction with the city of North Augusta to raise funds in order to with with Team Shelter USA, an animal welfare consulting firm.

There will be a meeting of the Aiken County Board of Disabilities and the board of Tri-Development Center on Thursday, June 6 at 6:30 p.m., 5080 Jefferson Davis Highway, Beech Island. 

The June Luncheon of the Aiken Newcomers’ Club, an organization for women, will be held on Tuesday, June 11. There will be no program this month. Cost for the luncheon is $15, cash or check. Registration begins at 10:45 a.m. with the Business Meeting at 11:15 a.m., and lunch at 11:30 a.m. The Community Service group is collecting for ACTS (Area Churches Together Serving). This organization provides a senior food program and medical, utility and clothing assistance for the needy. Retired teachers and staff of Belvedere Elementary School are invited to attend an annual reunion luncheon set for Thursday, June 13 at noon. at Bobby's Bar-B-Q and Buffet, in Warrenville at 1897 Jefferson Davis Highway. A senior discount is available. 

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones will meet Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 1002 Carolina Avenue, in North Augusta. PAL is a faith-based group open to anyone who has a loved one with addictions.
