Hammond's Ferry will host "Porch Walk for Paws" on Saturday, June 1. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests will be invited to visit 10 themed porches on Crystal Lake Drive for a beverage and appetizer. At 8 p.m. the evening will transition to a party in the garden with food from neighborhood restaurants; live music by Tom Reed and Jaycie and Taylor; and dancing. Tickets will be $35 per person and are sold online on EventBrite. The event is in conjunction with the city of North Augusta to raise funds in order to with with Team Shelter USA, an animal welfare consulting firm.

The June Luncheon of the Aiken Newcomers’ Club, an organization for women, will be held on Tuesday, June 11. There will be no program this month. Cost for the luncheon is $15, cash or check.
