Pedestrian traffic between Augusta and North Augusta was abundant during the morning of Oct. 5, as more than 1,000 people took part in the CSRA Walk for Water, a fundraiser to support Water Mission, a North Charleston-based charity that provides equipment to give poor communities around the world easier access to potable water. The walk, incorporating the James U. Jackson Memorial Bridge and covering about three miles, began and ended at SRP Park, and the turn-around point was St. Paul's Church, in Augusta.
