Walmart Drive-in movie

Walmart will hold two drive-in movie events in North Augusta in October.

North Augusta is rumored to have almost been the home of Hollywood, so it’s fitting that there will be a pop-up drive-in movie event in a few months.

The Walmart Drive-In is touring the country showing movies for free in Walmart parking lots.

The drive-in will show a movie on both Oct. 9 and 10 at the Walmart at 1201 Knox Ave.

On Oct. 9, the movie shown will be "Space Jam" and on Oct. 10 the movie will be "The Goonies."

Tickets for the events went live at 5 p.m. Aug. 5. Tickets are free but must be requested online ahead of the event.

On the night of the event, gates will open at 6 p.m. and the movie will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Other movies that may be shown include "Wonder Woman," "Spy Kids," "Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse," "Ghostbusters," "The Wizard of Oz," "Black Panther," "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" and "Friday Night Lights." All movies are PG or PG-13.

More information on the event can be found on thewalmartdrivein.com.
