We all know something about the harmful effects of stress in life. I hold the conviction that our belief that God loves us helps us to deal better with stress. Our personal awareness of God’s love and care gives strength as we adjust to life’s hard knocks. Circumstances beyond our control happen frequently and we can feel overwhelmed. Peace comes when we reach out to God in faith because we then realize that God is already reaching out to us. “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us” (Romans 8:31).
