As our vehicle joined others along the busy road, we noticed flashing lights and signs indicating that our two lanes would merge into one to safely move traffic through the construction area. As we navigated into the single lane, we saw workers creating a turning lane that would eventually speed up travel on the road. Someone remarked that future travelers, including us, would benefit from our delay because it allowed progress to occur. Thoughts turned to the benefits of looking at the big picture. “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you” (Isaiah 26:3).
