Entering Yellowstone National Park, we headed to Old Faithful Geyser Basin. It has had this name for scores of years because the intervals between eruptions can be predicted with a high percentage of accuracy. We sat in the bleachers and watched thousands of gallons of 200-plus degree water and steam burst into the air. Applause sprang up in appreciation for Old Faithful. We all yearn for steadfastness and for faithful individuals in our lives. People are looking for a steadying presence. “Whatever you do, whether in speech or action, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Colossians 3:17).
