I love the words of the late cartoonist Charles Schulz about benefits of jogging: “It’s good for your legs and your feet. It’s also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed.” Running and walking are part of life, and both can improve our health as we navigate in our world. The words of the prophet to Israel and to us today promise that, whether walking or running, God gives strength to those who hope in the Lord. “They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31b).
