It's Kisner's Night

Kevin Kisner throws our the first pitch at SRP Park in North Augusta prior to the Augusta GreenJackets' game against the Kannapolis Intimidators. Thursday night was Kevin Kisner Night at the game celebrating the Kevin and Brittany Kisner Foundation.

Kevin Kisner was on hand at the GreenJackets game this past Thursday to throw out the first pitch on Kevin and Brittany Kisner Foundation night.

The Kisners were promoting their Tee Up To Read initiative, which provides a book a month to kids in Aiken County up until the age of five.

"Our mission is to help children in our community in terms of participation in sports, healthy eating, education. My wife has a big role in that. She loves to help children and she saw a big need in the CSRA to provide fo these kids."

This is the second year the Kisners have held the fundraiser at the GreenJackets game.

"I never dreamed that I would be in the position to be able to do this, so I'm very thankful and blessed that we have the opportunity to provide for these kids," Kisner said. "I'm  blessed that I married Brittany, who had the passion to give back, she was the brain behind the whole operation.

The Kisner Foundation's 2019 scholarship recipients, Anslee Wood and Robert Morris were also recognized and got to help throw out the first pitch as well.
