The North Augusta Sports Commission is proud to announce their 2020 inductees: Freddie Vinson, Tyrone Walker, Geannie Williams Coleman and the 1982-83 State Champion Golf team of NAHS.

Fred Vinson was a standout athlete at North Augusta and went on the play football at Vanderbilt University. He was later drafted by the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.

Tyrone Walker was an All-State basketball player for the Yellow Jackets and a four year starter at Winthrop University where he earned all conference accolades all four years.

Geannie Williams Coleman was a three sport star at North Augusta in volleyball, basketball and softball and went on to star at Limestone College.

The 1982 and '83 golf team won back to back state titles, the first North Augusta team to achieve that accomplishment. Members of both teams include Randy Sapp, Jeff Pope and David Steed, among others.

The induction banquet will be held Feb. 22 at the Wesley Center. Tickets will be available in January at several locations in North Augusta.
